Please take a moment to read our most commonly asked questions. We're always available to answer your questions and encourage you to contact our office if you have a question that is not answered below.

Q: What is a Pediatric Pulmonologist?

A: Pediatric pulmonologists are physicians who, after receiving a medical degree (MD or DO), complete residency training in pediatrics, followed by at least three additional years of subspeciality fellowship training in pulmonology.  Pulmonologists are specially trained in diseases and conditions of the chest, particularly asthma, pneumonia, chronic cough, tubererculosis, interstitial lung diseases, and complicated chest infections.

Q: How often should my child see the Pediatric Pulmonologist?

A: Following your initial visit for consulation it is important to be seen for routine follow up visits several times a year.  This will usually coincide with the change of season, as that is when some pulmonary disorders can flare up.  Periodic visits are also important so that lung function can be followed and daily medications can be adjusted.  More frequent visits may be necessary for acute respiratory illnesses that may occur througout the year.

Q: What is the best way to schedule an appointment with your office?

A: You can schedule an appointment by calling our office during regular business hours, or by requesting an appointment online.

Q: Is your office accepting new patients?

A: Yes, we always welcome new patients. Contact our office for additional information or request an appointment.
